Please DO pack heavier items in small boxes, like books, electronic equipment, dishes and other kitchen items. Please pack smart. If you can’t lift it, chances are its overpacked.

DO use moving boxes… no Amazon Prime or Chewy boxes, please! While we want to cut down on waste and recycle, we also want to be able to efficiently carry the boxes we are moving.

DO label your boxes with their contents, where in the new place they are going, and (most importantly) whether they are fragile.

Please DO pack lighter items in larger boxes. Un-hung clothes, toys, linens, etc. Don’t overfill these boxes, they tend to break when you’re carrying them.

DO Tape both the top AND bottom of the box, please. The folded corners method doesn’t tend to hold up.

~For clothing on hangers, wardrobe boxes work best, although they are cumbersome and expensive. If not wardrobe boxes, tying the hangers of hung clothing together and putting them in a plastic bag works well, too.

Please DO empty all dressers, nightstands, chests and TV stands of their contents. They add weight and thats not good.

DO obtain all parking permits and save spots for the moving truck leading up to the date of your move, if possible. The closer we can get to your door, the better.

DO notify your apartment building/office about your move. If there will be an elevator available, please reserve it ahead of time.

DO trust the movers… Believe it or not, they know what they’re doing!

THE “DONT’S” OF MOVING

Please DON'T pack any chemicals, flammable liquids, paint, compressed air/propane, guns or ammunition… We will not take them.

Please DON'T leave packing for the last minute. Its the most important thing you can do leading up a move, aside from contacting Brier Moving, of course.

Please DON'T set up appointments, or schedule traveling on the day of your move. Your availability will help make things run smoothly.

We DO NOT mount or unmount anything from the wall, we do not disassemble/reassemble cribs for insurance purposes.

We DO NOT move trash.
